A double amputee decided to train a three-legged doggo in order to become a therapy dog for school children. The double amputee was once in a sad place in her life but when she met her own service dog, everything changed.

In 2006, the dog owner, who then worked as a U.S. Army Military Police Officer, lost her two legs because of the injuries she suffered from a peacekeeping mission. She then went back home and received a golden retriever from Florida’s K9s for Warriors. By 2010, her life started to get better again because the dog helped her with simple tasks and their bond made her get through the tough days. Now, the dog owner wants to help train a three-legged doggo in order to help other people. The dog is actually from a local breeder.
The doggo is also gaining a lot of fans. Recently, veterinarians have come forward to offer examining the amputated leg of the doggo for free.
