Accordingly, more than 600 doggos were transported from Hawaii to Seattle through “Paws Across the Pacific” program. The Humane Society , Greater Good Charities, and Wings of Rescue all worked together to make the transport possible. The doggos arrived in Seattle by Thursday.
Some of the doggos will go to the shelters and organizations in Washington. Others will be distributed to Oregon, Idaho, and Montana. This is not the first time that such transportation happened because Wings of Aloha has been doing this in the past. However, they were not able to transport any of the doggos for the past six months because of the coronavirus pandemic so their shelters and centers were already getting overcrowded.
All the doggos and cats will be undergoing medical treatment first and will also be spayed or neutered if necessary before being adopted out. If you want to adopt one, you can look out for posts via the Greater Good Charities Facebook page.
