– Someone tipped the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department about dogs being shot with pellet guns.
– A search warrant resulted in the seizure of 36 dogs.
– Some of the dogs were just 12 weeks old.
Accordingly, Animal control officers from Pierce County Sheriff’s Department were tipped about the possible animal cruelty happening at the property. Allegedly, the owner shot the dogs with pellet guns. The officers then secured a warrant and searched the home on Wednesday.
Of the 36 doggos, 15 were under 12 weeks old. It is believed the dogs were part of a puppy farm. The dogs have been examined by veterinarians but there was no detailed report about the findings.
This is not the first time such tip was given. In December 2019, doggos were likewise reportedly abused and animal fighting allegedly took place there. Many doggos were seized from the same property. It is unclear if the same owner was involved in this latest incident.
