The dog is a 16-month-old cocker spaniel and he has undergone weeks of training to detect water pipe problems.
The dog was trained to sniff out tiny amounts of chlorine in tap water. The dog has been trained to sit, stand, and stare at the source where a pipe is broken or a leak is detected.
United Utilities, which supplies water in homes in North West England, just recruited the dog to be part of their team.
