A dog’s dental health is really important and there are lots of ways to take care of your dog’s teeth. One is brushing and another is to give them chew treats that would help care for their teeth.
– Chewing is important in dogs.
– Chewing helps doggos be mentally and physically healthy.
– Rawhide, rubber chew toys, or…
According to research, chewing helps doggos be mentally and physically healthy. Chewing exercises a dog’s chewing muscles, keeps his or her brain engaged, and cleans the teeth. Dr. Jason Nicholas, a veterinarian from Portland, said that rawhide treats are great for dogs but it just doesn’t work for other dog breeds. If a dog tries to gulp down half of a rawhide and takes big chunks, it could result to choking or digestive obstruction. It is then best to give dogs another form of chewable treats like well-made rubber chew toys.
Other chew treats like Dentastix, Greenies, and QChefs are also great for reducing tartar and plaque build-up but they aren’t as sturdy as other chewy treats.
