The dog named Sandi is a boxer pitbull mix and has been at the Marion-Grant County shelter for almost half of her life. The staff labeled Sandi the boss because she has been there longer than most of the staff and the doggos there. The new owners of Sandi recently lost their family dog because of old age and they have been supporting the shelter ever since. They then decided to take Sandi home. One of the new owners apparently could not get Sandi off of her mind because the dog has been at the shelter for a long time already so the new owners started doing visits with Sandi and they knew they had to spoil her for the rest of her days.
The dog will be sent to her new home on Friday and the shelter will have a going away party for her. There will be a red carpet, dog treats, and balloons for her event.
