A doggo was allegedly taken by police officers from the owner because it was accused as a banned breed. Per the laws in Dagenham, police have the power to seize a doggo if they believe it is a threat to the general public.
– A dog was considered to be a dangerous dog.
– The dog was seized by police.
– After four months, the dog was given back to the dog owner but…
The dog spent four months in the kennel and the dog owner was repeatedly told it was under great care. When the dog owner received news that she can already get her dog back, she was so excited to see the doggo. However, when she picked him up, she doubted it was even the same doggo because he was covered in scratches, he had some of his fur missing, and the top of his tail was cut off.
The dog owner was allowed to take the dog home again after pleading guilty to owning a fighting dog. The condition was the dog had to be castrated and had to wear a muzzle when out in public. The dog was castrated incorrectly while under the care of the police and it later became infected.
The dog owner already filed a complaint but police have not responded to her yet.
