A gas chamber for strays in St. Louis was a controversial one 14 years ago. This is because a doggo was able to walk out alive from the gas chamber.

The dog, named Quentin, has, however, crossed the rainbow bridge over the weekend. His owner, Randy Grim, who also founded Stray Rescue of St. Louis, shared that the doggo died after suffering from a stroke. A total of 700 applicants tried to adopt the doggo back in 2003 when the news emerged about it. However, Grim was the lucky one to keep such a strong dog.
Quentin, together with seven other dogs, were placed inside an airtight box where carbon monoxide was pumped in. Quentin’s original owners had to surrender the doggo because their new apartment does not allow doggos.
