An animal shelter had a dog under its care. It turns out that the dog has been missing. The dog owner was able to track the doggo down and now, the animal shelter went viral for doing an amazing thing for the dog owner.
– Sana Rosa County Animal Services had a dog with them.
– The dog was deaf and the dog owner could not pay the fees for the dog to be released.
– The shelter decided to waive…
The animal shelter was identified as Santa Rosa County Animal Services. They posted on their Facebook page early in September a photo of Glock, a deaf doggo. Accordingly, the dog owner went to them and was crying because she did not have any money to get her doggo out of the shelter. She even showed them the vet records of the doggo to prove ownership. The manager of operations at the shelter shared that they told the dog owner she can have her doggo back without any charge.
They added in their post, “We bring Glock back to her. He was jumping and prancing he was so happy to see her, and she was crying and hugging him. Their love and bond are deep. We provided her with some dog food and a neuter voucher, which she was grateful for.” The manager said that they did what they could because “inflexible redemption fees and policies” prevent reunions from happening. This then results to an increase in the population in shelters.
The post then garnered thousands of likes and comments.
