The doggos have been under the care of the Delta Animal Shelter since they were rescued. There were already 69 puppies seized and now, there are a total of 167 puppies and 65 doggos. None of them have been adopted out yet because the Delta County Prosecutor’s Office is still reviewing the case to determine the possible criminal charges against the person from whom the doggos were seized.
Delta Animal Shelter said in a statement through a Facebook post that they never prepared or envisioned having to take care of so many doggos so they thank the community for the continued support and donations. An update about the doggos were also given saying, “The health, the body condition, the overall mental state of all these dogs has improved so very much.”
Aside from the doggos, the shelter also cares for horses. They are asking for donations for all the animals they are currently taking care of.
