A senior rescue dog got a second shot at enjoying his life. He was given a titanium leg by The University of Queensland and the engineers from the RMIT University.
– A dog got a new titanium leg.
– The dog had several problems when it was adopted.
– Now, the dog is living a happier life all thanks to…
The adopter shared about her senior doggo’s condition to Dr. Jayne McGhie at UQ Vets Small Animal Hospital. The dog’s leg has been broken for many years now and the titanium leg was the best solution they can think of. The dog underwent scans in order to see what was the best design for the dog’s titanium leg so it could support its weight.
The dog actually had a severe skin disease, serious dental problems, osteoarthritis, dry eye, and many more when it was adopted by its owner. The doggo had to recover from its skin and dental problems first before the titanium leg was implanted.
The dog has recuperated and now lives happily. The dog owner shared her fur baby “is such a remarkable little dog and despite all the challenges he’s faced, he’s never stopped being loving and happy.”
