A few days ago, the dog owners and their doggos were inside their home when the wind blew an opening in their wooden fence. One of the dog owners then let the doggos out into their backyard and because of the open fence, the dogs were able to escape. One of the dogs almost drowned but a group of nurses and certified nursing assistants were able to save it.
– Two dogs escaped from home.
– One of them almost drowned in a river.
– Fortunately, a patient saw…
The doggo, a six-year-old yellow Labrador German Shepherd mix named Reilly, made it a bit father from home because the other dog was located shortly after the escape. Reilly managed to get to Penobscot River. The river was near a hospital and a patient saw the doggo near the river. The patient then informed two nurses and two nursing assistants so they all headed to the river where Reilly was spotted struggling to climb up the riverbank.
The dog was spooked all the more so it went back to the river. The dog was already submerged underwater as it got its head stuck between two rocks. Later, the nurses and assistants free the dog. The animal control was asked to respond to the scene and the officer dispatched was responsible for taking further care of the doggo.
The dog owners are thankful to the patient, the nurses, and the assistants for saving their Reilly.
