A doggo was thrown in the river with a heavy rock tied around its neck. The doggo had to recover for the past 15 months and finally, someone adopted it.
– A dog was found in the river trying really hard to stay afloat.
– The dog had a heavy rock tied around its neck.
– The doggo recovered for the past 15 months and is now with a loving family.
The doggo named Bella, an 11-year-old Belgian shepherd, was spotted drowning in the English river by a Good Samaritan. Authorities were later called and the dog was taken to a veterinarian. The dog was able to make it out of the emergency treatment given to it and has since been staying with a Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSCPA) facility for its recovery.
Just recently, Maggie Mellish and Charlie Douglas decided to adopt Bella. Accordingly, the retired couple is the perfect match for the doggo because they have the time and the skills to cater to her needs. The couple said that they lost their rescue dog two years ago and another dog this year so they decided to adopt one because they miss their former family doggos. They also had other German Shepherds in the past 30 years.
As for the former owner of Bella, she was sentenced to 12 months community order and cannot keep doggos for the next three years. She was also fined and had to pay more for the medical costs of the doggo and victim surcharge.
