Doggos are being trained with Dogs with Wings in order to help victims of trauma. How does this really work?

The doggos are being trained in Saskatchewan and people who have experienced trauma have the chance to get support from the doggos. According to one of the people behind the initiative, they came up with the training because they have seen the calming effects of doggos to such victims. He further shared of the advantages of support dogs, “You’ll fall in love with this pup in 30 seconds or less and it wil make a big difference in many peoples’ lives.”
Most victims that such doggos will help are child abuse victims, domestic violence victims, sexual assault victims, and seniors who had traumatic experiences due to illegal home entry. Such doggos can be used at the time of the traumatic event or when the victim is being interviewed about the incident or when the victim is in court to testify.
