The incident took place in Boston. The doggo, a three-year-old fur baby named Rocco, has since recovered but it now needs a new loving home. The dog was left at the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals-Angell (MSPCA-Angell).
It is unclear who the dog owner is and why he or she abandoned the animal. There are also no details as to the circumstances that led to the doggo suffering from heatstroke.
Rocco is hoping to meet its potential adopters soon. Anyone who is interested can contact MSPCA-Angell at [email protected].
The facility reminds dog owners to look after their doggos whenever it’s hot outside.
