You have to first check the time as to when the dog’s seizure started and check again when it ended. Time is important when you will already take your doggo to the vet. Do not grab your dog’s tongue because you will get bitten in the process. Keep your dog away from the stairs or anywhere that could lead to him being injured during the seizure.
Understand that sometimes, dogs will urinate or defecate during the seizure. If the seizure lasts for more than 2 to 3 minutes, it is already in danger of hyperthermia so it is best to apply cold water or wet towel on the dog’s neck, head, groin, and paws.
