Parvovirus is one of the deadliest diseases that could strike a dog. One puppy, a yellow Labrador that was only 10 weeks old, unfortunately contracted the disease.

The dog owners did not want to lose their doggo and they really feared that they would. Luckily, one passionate veterinarian worked with the doggo almost 24 hours a day. The doggo underwent emergency medication and even plasma transfusions. When a dog gets parvovirus, they suffer from dehydration and diarrhea. There is no cure for such illness.
They worked with the doggo for five days and they thought the dog would not survive. However, after the fifth day, the dog stopped vomiting and was eating again after 12 hours. Parvovirus is preventable by getting the dog vaccinated in a timely manner.
