A doggo was stranded in a steep mountain ravine for three weeks. A couple heard the dog’s barks and they did not stop until they successfully rescued it.

The couple was identified as Dan and Debra Brookes and they rescued the doggo named Tonto. Accordingly, they have been hearing the dog’s barks for days before they went to the upper part of the mountain located in Barriere, British Columbia. They first heard the dog on August 12 when they were walking their own Rottweilers. Initially, they thought the dog was with someone but Debra heard the barks from the same area for days so she grew worried. They decided to seek the help of the authorities and the community and after three days of looking for the animal, they finally rescued it.
After rescuing it, they reunited it with the dog owner. The dog owner said the doggo ran away from home during a thunderstorm. In a statement, the dog owner shared she is thankful for the couple and the community members for their “extreme effort” to rescue the animal.
