The dog owner went straight to Manukau Auckland Council shelter after getting the phone call. The dog, a nine-month-old cavoodle, definitely made her fur mommy happy when they reunited at the shelter. The animal shelter said that they already scanned the dog’s microchip so they are positive the dog belonged to the woman.
The dog had become hairy from months of being ungroomed. Despite having a body full of hair, the dog was well-fed and its fur was not that matted. Someone took care of the dog while it was away from its family and the dog owner is thankful for that.
