A doggo was reportedly shot dead after it wandered into a neighbor’s yard. The incident took place at Jurien Bay, which is located north of Perth.

The dog, named Splinter, was a kelpie-cross-doberman. The doggo was at the property of the suspect, a 49-year-old man, on Sunday. The dog owner was reportedly calling the doggo to come back home when the man went outside of his house and shot the dog. The dog owner tried to take the animal to a veterinary hospital but it died when they were on their way.
The man has since been charged with animal cruelty and possessing unlicensed firearms.
