A dog, which is an American Staffordshire-bull terrier cross, got shot by a police officer because of its allegedly troubling behavior. The dog owner said that he and his dogs were just playing catch when the officer approached them.

As a result of the shooting, the dog owner was initially told that his injured dog might lose one of its legs. Veterinarians at the Animal Clinic of Regina scheduled the dog for surgery and when they finished, they were all relieved that the dog’s leg was saved. Hopefully, the healing process will be smooth after 12 weeks.
People believe that the dog getting shot was unfair. They have donated money through a GoFundMe account in order to pay for the dog’s surgery. The dog owner plans to pursue a legal action against the police officer.
