– A dog was found shot with an arrow.
– The dog is now doing better despite some challenges.
– The dog is with…
According to reports, the dog was found with the arrow protruding from her head and was wandering the streets. The dog was very emaciated as well. The dog is around seven years old and was identified as a bull arab, kelpie cross. She was given the name Lou. The dog was initially under the care of Gore District Council animal control until caring for it was passed to Furever Homes.
The dog underwent a surgery because the arrow entered her ear and throat. The dog lost hearing on that ear and had a scarring on her esophagus. She can only eat soft foods as of the moment. The dog is also said to be generally scared when approached by males or children. The dog is also afraid of the dark.
Furever Homes continue to work with Lou despite the challenges. The dog is now gaining some weight, going out for walks, playing at a dog park, and many more. The staff at Furever Homes believes the dog will be fostered soon.
As for the investigation, it is still ongoing. It is unclear, however, if anyone will be prosecuted.
