Some people are just too evil to own an animal. Accordingly, a dog was tied to a pole then set on fire intentionally.
– A dog was tied to a pole last weekend.
– The dog was later set on fire.
– A man was spotted running away from the scene of the crime.
Richmond Animal Care and Control center in Virginia took to their Facebook page to post about the incident. They shared that the pit bull was tied to a pole at a city park last Sunday and apparently that was not enough because the suspect decided to set the dog on fire. The dog then suffered burns to more than 40 percent of his body.
According to a witness, he did not see the actual time that the dog was set on fire but saw a man wearing a number of pants running away from the scene. The dog was later taken to Virginia Veterinary Centers.
Authorities are now investigating the case. The shelter officials are also asking anyone to identify the person who was allegedly seen running away from the area.
