The service dog is a pit bull and Delta Airlines said they could not let such dog breed fly with them. The dog owner was initially allowed to board the plane when they went to Cincinnati. The dog was very still for most of the flight. The dog owner then expected that there won’t be any problem for their return flight. However, when he and his service dog got to Phoenix Sky Harbor airport, they were denied entry on the plane because a manager said the dog’s breed was considered dangerous and aggressive.
Delta Airlines said they already refunded the dog owner’s money for his return flight and has issued an apology regarding the matter. The dog owner hopes to hitch a ride back home and is contemplating on filing a complaint against the airline.
