Accordingly, the dog, named Pepa, a six-year-old Australian Cattle, went missing for more than a week. The dog was returned to the family on Thursday. The family lost their dog while they were camping in Lake Wissota. They are from the Kenosha area but lost the dog in the lake. They believe their dog was spooked after the animal heard a gunshot. The dog owners stayed in the area for 10 days to locate the animal and they already gave up because there were no sightings of the animal.
When they were ready to go home, they got a call saying that someone saw the dog in the Cadott area. The dog owners went there but still they did not find the animal. Later, Cadott community members helped look for the doggo. Many posted about the missing animal on Facebook. While the dog owners were driving in the area, they finally spotted the dog on the roadside. One of the dog owners shared, “We spotted her. We were afraid she was going to run away but we pulled up and opened the door and called her and she just came right over.”
The dog owners said they are very thankful for all the help they received.
