A man from St. Louis County was doing his neighbor a huge favor – trying to go out on the ice to save the neighbor’s dog. However, what started out as a Good Samaritan deed ended as a tragic one after the man needed to be saved himself.
– A dog went to an icy lake and fell through.
– The dog owner tried to save the dog.
– A neighbor intervened and…
The dog was on an icy lake somewhere in St. Louis. This came after the doggo went out on the ice and fell through. The dog owner first went out to try and save the doggo but while he was on his way to do so, he also fell through the ice. He was able to return to shore safely but the dog remained in danger. The dog owner’s neighbor then got his canoe and tried to get to the dog and succeeded in doing so. However, they both got stranded.
A St. Louis County Rescue Squad member was able to help the neighbor and the doggo. The rescuers told the citizens to not go to icy areas especially if the ice is thin. No one underwent medical assistance after the rescue.
