The incident took place in Northumberland County in Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania. According to police who investigated on the matter, the dog was stuffed inside the suitcase in February. The dog was a brown pit bull. The dog owner was later charged with animal cruelty.
The dog owner said that the reason why he did such was because he did not have enough money to take care of the dog. The dog died due to a disease. It is unclear, however, if the dog owner is telling the truth.
