A dog’s story has ended. However, it’s not a sad story because the rescue doggo has finally ended his days in the shelter as he has found his fur-ever home.
– A dog has been at a shelter for more than four years.
– The dog was recently adopted by a volunteer at the shelter.
– The volunteer has taken care of 12 rescue dogs during her time at the center.
The dog is an eight-year-old Jack Russell Terrier named Smithy. The dog has been at the National Animal Welfare Trust Rescue Center in Hayle, Cornwall for more than four years. The person who adopted Smithy is actually a volunteer at the center. She shared that she decided to adopt Smithy because one of her dogs recently died. The new dog owner is no stranger to doggos because she has already fostered 12 rescue dogs over the years she has volunteered at the center.
The new dog owner shared, “I think he chose me. He decided he was going to come with me and I feel very happy to have him.” Smithy will be with the new dog owner and another dog, a 17-year-old fur buddy.
