The doggo is six years old and was named Daisy. Accordingly, the dog was euthanized last year without their permission. The doggo was taken to the St. Louis County Animal Care and Control on December 27 because it was a mandatory procedure after the animal bit their daughter. The dog was to undergo a 10-day quarantine to make sure the animal did not have Rabies. When they went to check on the dog the next morning upon realizing the dog can be quarantined at their home, they were given the news that the dog was already euthanized.
The attorney for the couple said his clients did not want the doggo killed. St. Louis County Animal Care and Control has not commented on the matter saying they cannot give out information because it is a pending litigation.
