A dog from Edinburgh received the “Pet Hero of the Year” award and if you will read the dog’s story below, you will understand why. The dog is helping its owner with her hidden disabilities.
– A doggo is helping its owner a lot.
– The dog owner has PTSD and autism.
– The dog recently won the “Pet Her of the Year” award in the United Kingdom.
The dog, named Milly-Bear, was one of the 10 pets that were shortlisted out of all the entries that came from all over the United Kingdom. This week, the winner was announced and Milly-Bear was the one who got the award. The dog, a chocolate Labrador, has been helping its owner for six months already. Her owner has symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and autism.
The doggo will reassure its human whenever they are in busy areas or if the dog owner is struggling. The dog can detect subtle changes in the voice and body language of its owner so the dog knows right away if she needs help.
