The 66-year-old dog owner said that after the dog was hit, the driver just kept going and did not even stop to check on the dog or the owner. The daughter of the dog owner said that the car should have slowed down because it was a very narrow road where the dog was being walked. The dog owner was also with her other doggo named Peppa, who was not injured in the incident.
The dog owner and her daughter tried to take the injured animal to the vet but it died while they were on their way. The family is very devastated about what happened especially the dog owner and her grandchildren, who love the dog very much.
A CCTV footage of the incident has been surrendered to the police. They are looking for a blue Ford Focus. The dog owner pointed out, “Nothing is going to bring her back, but this person needs to know that what they have done has left the family absolutely distraught and if they have any heart at all they should at least come forward and apologize for their actions.”
