The study examined 2,000 dog owners and found out that most of them skipped their commitments with their friends just to hang out with their dogs.
Dogs also reportedly got their dog owners through five stressful events in a week. Aside from that, the study concluded that dog owners genuinely believe their dogs have helped them get over break-ups, death, and the like.
A total of 82 percent of these dog owners also said that their mental and emotional health have improved. Eighty-eight percent said that their dog made them better people.
