A dog owner from Fort Myers, Florida luckily rescued his doggo from the jaws of an alligator. The incident was caught on camera.

According to the video, which was set up in the area to monitor local wildlife, the dog owners jumped into the pond after seeing the alligator drag his dog. The man was able to take the doggo out of the water but it could be seen that the small alligator remained latched on the doggo. The dog owner then tried to remove the alligator as the doggo yelped. Seconds later, the man succeeded.
The organization that set up the camera said that the doggo and the man are now doing well. The incident reportedly took place near the end of October. The dog owner reportedly took the animal to a local vet. He received a puncture wound and has since recovered. The dog was identified as Gunner, a three-month-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
The man likewise had himself medically checked. He received a tetanus shot.
