A dog owner’s doggo, a Chihuahua Terrier mix, was killed by their neighbor’s dogs. The incident took place when they were out for a walk.
– A dog was out for a walk with its owner.
– Later, two Cane Corso dogs attacked it.
– The owner of the victim doggo decided to…
The dog owner said that she was already attacked before by the two Cane Corso dogs and was very wary when they went out for a walk. However, everything happened so fast when the dogs came too close and started hurting the smaller dog. The owner of the victim doggo noted, “My dog was completely ripped open. Her organs were hanging out. I was screaming for help. The woman was just standing there with her dogs saying, ‘Oh god, these dogs are so stupid.’” A man helped and drove the victim doggo to the nearest emergency vet but they were told there was nothing they could do to save the animal.
When police officers came to investigate, the dog owner was told the owner of the attacking doggos could not be charged. The owner of the victim doggo has to file a lawsuit to recover the money used for the cremation and the amount of the doggo because dogs are only considered as property under New York law.
So, the owner of the victim doggo decided to put up flyers in her area to let other dog owners know about what the attacking dogs did to her poor pooch. She noted, “Nothing is going to bring Anna back but I have to be vocal about it, I have to do what I can.”
