A fire took place in Orland, Maine and a man tried to save a doggo that was inside the burning home. Unfortunately, the man did not make it out alive.

According to the fire marshals, the man’s body was found on Monday night after the fire was completely put off. The house burned to the ground. Before the house completely burned, the man, a 40-year-old individual named Sam Crawford, was already outside. However, he went back inside to find his doggo. It is unclear if the dog survived or if the dog died from the fire because fire marshals were not able to locate the dog’s body.
Aside from the man and the dog, the occupants of the home were two adults and two children. They were able to escape and did not suffer from any injury.
