The crash took place in Molalla and the dog owner thanks her Great Dane as to why she is still alive and recovering. The dog owner said that she was driving around midnight in the area and struck a deer. Her car then crashed down a steep embankment. The doggo was wearing his seatbelt when the crash took place so it was not harmed. The dog owner, however, tumbled down another 50 feet from where the car stopped. The dog owner shared, “I woke up on my back with him standing over me, barking and licking my face.”
The dog owner was able to crawl back up the embankment. It is unclear who saw her but the dog owner was taken to a hospital. It was determined she suffered from concussion, a cracked collarbone, cracked ribs, and many bruises and bumps. The doggo, on the other hand, was taken to a veterinarian. They are now back home and the dog enjoyed a “nice hunk of meat and his favorite marrow bones.”
