A doggo has been missing for the past nine days in Chicago. The community played a part in finally catching the doggo and reuniting it with its family.
– A dog escaped from its owner while on a walk.
– The dog was from Egypt and the dog owners were afraid she would not survive out in the cold.
– The dog was later caught by…
The dog owner said that the dog went missing when they were out walking. The dog owner slipped on ice and let go of the dog’s leash. This is reportedly the first winter for the doggo so they were worried that she would not survive the freezing temperature outside. The dog is from Egypt and was brought to Chicago by Barrington Area Animal Rescue. The dog and her sister were actually abused by the former owners.
Chicago Police Lieutenant John Garrido helped in tracking down the doggo after seeing a photo of the dog from the many posters and flyers to raise awareness about the missing pup. Garrido then organized a group to help look for the dog and was able to do so later on.
There has been no report as to the dog’s condition after the nine-day run.
