A family pet was mistaken for a coyote by a man and shot the dog. The man who shot the dog was at the rifle range near the home of the dog owners.

Accordingly, a club member of Jonestown Fish and Game Association shot the dog last December. More than a month later, the dog owners said they never got an apology from the club or the man who shot their pet. One of the dog owners said she went looking for their doggo because he hasn’t come home. Some of the members of the club then flagged her down and told her someone shot their dog. The dog owner shared, “It just upsets me that the club won`t even come down and apologize to us and no one’s given me a guarantee yet that things are going to be changing.”
The club said in a statement that the member who shot the dog has already been suspended.
