A veteran lost his dog when it found a way out of their backyard. Four years after, an unbelievable call came from a friend.
– A veteran went home from Iraq
– He purchased a dog to help him adjust
– The dog escaped from their home
After a war veteran came home from Iraq in 2008, he immediately got a beagle puppy. The dog helped him adjust from his recent deployment. But about four years ago, the dog got out of his home and was nowhere to be found.
They lost all hope of finding the dog after a whole year of searching. Last week, a glimmer of hope shined through the help of the internet. A dog showed up in the listing of a local animal league in Virginia.
When the owners saw the picture of the dog, they knew right away that it was their missing dog. The animal center told that the dog escaped his adoptive families and would run to the house of his previous owners.
Now reunited, the veteran microchipped his dog so it will never go missing again.
