A dog has been finally rescued by two friends who were fortunately on a surfing trip at the right time. The dog has been missing for the past three months and was stuck inside a sea cliff cave.

The trip was on August 1 and it was at the Vancouver Island’s remote west coast. The surfers, identified as Matty Johnson and Zach Regan, wanted to stay their overnight and had their boat with them. Johnson was the first one who spotted the doggo inside the cave. The pair was supposed to go home already because of an upcoming storm but they decided to stop and check out the cave and see if it was really a dog. When they got near, they were positive it was a dog so they took her in their boat and kept her in their bag to make her warm.
Once they got back to shore, they tried searching for the owner. It is unclear how they found the dog owner but the latter was reportedly thrilled and was shocked because they believed the dog was already dead.
