The doggo named Wacku, used to be a guard dog for a taxi stand owner in the Philippines. However, sometime in 2012, a man who was drunk attacked the animal with a machete. The dog’s snout was immediately cut off after that. The dog lost a lot of blood and after being cleared by a vet, the dog still had to have special care. The dog was then taken to the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS). Because of Wacku’s situation, the lawmakers in the country increased the fines and imprisonment for those who will abuse animals.
The doggo has been with PAWS for the next five years but no one wants to give the doggo a fur-ever home. Later, the founder of Luvable Dog Rescue in Eugene, Oregon, adopted Wacku as she had experiences with taking care of animals that needed special care. The new dog owner had the dog transported to the United States and he now has his own Instagram account with the handle @picassothewonkyandwacku.
