In Portland, a dog owners is hoping for the best after his doggo was placed under a kill order. The doggo attacked a 68-year-old man back in January 2016 and this is the second time that the town has been open to negotiations with the dog owners.

The dog, Rocky, has been in the pound since the attack. According to the victim, he did not do anything to provoke the dog. The victim was severely injured so the Department of Agriculture decided to put the dog down. However, the dog owner took the matter before the Superior Court.
The town officials said that if the dog will be released, the dog owner should hire a trainer who would work with the dog owner in handling the doggo back in October. It is unclear what the conditions are now. A voting will be held whether or not the dog will be released to the owner.
