Ontario Divisional Court ruled that the kennel should pay the dog owner $4,500 as the dog owner paid such amount in order to nurse the dog back to health. The case was filed in January of 2017 and was resolved just recently. Per the evidence, the eight-year-old doggo suffered from kennel stress and along with the other doggos, he escaped from his kennel. The dog lost nine kilograms after staying at the kennel, was lethargic, and refused to eat.
The court said the kennel should have called the dog owner or at least provided the necessary care over the doggo after the incident.
