A dog trainer name Greg Wells in K9s For Warriors demonstrates and clarifies how a service canine aids veterans in handling PTSD. In 2012, when he came back home from Afghanistan he did not want to leave or go outside in his abode.
He was diagnosed with PTSD or post-traumatic stress disorder, he was taking pills but it did not appear helping.
Wells went to a program set on by K9s For Warriors in April 2015. It is nonprofit organization founded in 2009, which teaches service canines to assist military veterans who are going through traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic stress disorder, and military sexual trauma.
