– However, when the dog owner’s aunt came by, the dog showed immediate dislike.
– The dog owner then wrote to…
The dog owner just adopted the doggo and they had to live with her mom for a month. The dog immediately showed the elderly aunt that he did not like her. The dog owner tried everything to calm the doggo down but nothing worked. Every time her aunt visits, she is forced to take the dog into another room where the doggo can’t see the aunt.
The author of the column said that what she did was correct per a professor from Clinical Animal Behavior Service at UC–Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. The author noted that it is possible that the dog will eventually like the aunt but it won’t happen overnight so the dog owner has to be patient. It is advised that her aunt hand-feed the doggo some treats.
