A dog groomer in Elk Grove, California has been sentenced recently. This comes after a doggo under her care and supervision died.

According to reports, she was charged with felony animal cruelty and later sentenced under the same charge. This was confirmed by the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office. The groomer was identified as Stephanie Frentz and she has to spend 180 days in jail. After that, she will be serving a two-year probation and she cannot groom animals for the next decade.
More on the incident, it happened on May 2020 when a miniature schnauzer named Rosco was being groomed by Frentz. Per a statement from the district attorney’s office, it said, “Frentz allowed Rosco to fall off the grooming table and did not come to his aid for several minutes.” The dog then died of strangulation.
