In an article published in the journal Scientific Reports, it ranked the best dog breeds you should consider having in order to be more beneficial to you and your family.

The study was done in Sweden by tracking the health data of residents aged 40 to 80 years old with a sample population of 3.4 million.
In Sweden, it is also a requirements that dogs should have unique identifiers through an ear tattoo or a microchip. This made the study easier in order to understand the effects of certain dog breeds to their owner’s health.
The dog breeds that topped the list are retrievers and spaniels. The study also found that dog owners’ lives are increased by 20 percent.
