In 2016, a dog was taken to the Montgomery County Animal Resource Center (ARC). Five days later, the dog was euthanized so a judge ordered the body of the doggo to be frozen but now that evidence is missing.

The dog owners, John and Lindsey Glowney, sued ARC for the death of their doggo. Just this December 10, the attorney for the dog owners said that he received a notification from the legal counsel of ARC that the dog’s frozen body could not be found anywhere. Because of this, the dog owners through their counsel asked for the amendment of the complaint to add more civil claims because of the “sudden disappearance of this important evidence.” Lindsey reportedly just wanted the remains of the dog when the case was over.
The dog owners are also in the middle of a criminal case involving the doggo. They were prosecuted for misdemeanor animal cruelty/neglect. They are currently on appeal.
