Sometimes, things initially do not go well for doggos but later in their lives, they meet people who will take care of them and give them the love they deserve. This story rings true for a doggo that was found starving to death on the side of a dumpster and is now recovering and will soon be up for adoption.
– A dog was found starving to death.
– The dog was not expected to survive.
– The dog, however, showed signs of improvement after it was taken to an animal hospital.
The dog was found somewhere in Huntington, West Virginia and is now being taken care of by Huntington Cabell-Wayne Animal Shelter. They initially thought the dog would no longer survive because it was already starving to death. The dog is believed to be around 8 years old and will soon be up for adoption once the dog becomes fully recovered. Many people have already lined up to hopefully give the doggo its fur-ever home.
When the dog was first brought in, it only weighed 5 pounds when it was supposed to weight at least 12 to 13 pounds. She was also dehydrated so they were ready to euthanize the doggo. However, the doggo, renamed Shelby, is a fighter and began showing signs of improvement. The story of Shelby has touched so many that donations came pouring in to help with the expenses.
