A doggo was found covered in tar on the side of a road in Solapur, India. The dog is barely recognizable if it was to be compared to a photo of it when it was first found.

The dog was then taken in by an animal rescue center and it took them days to fully clean the doggo. They had to use vegetable and coconut oil because the dog’s fur was covered in tar and debris and they wanted the process of cleaning the dog to be pain-free as much as possible. As months passed, the dog’s skin has healed and now has a full brown and white fur. The dog is now living with one of the rescuers, who owns other animals like dogs and chicken.
The dog, who has been given the name Champi, now plays with her dog and chicken friends. Champi reportedly loves running in the fields.
